Box 196650, Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Reft REVISED SEPTIC SYSTEM DESIGN for Lot 2, Seabreeze, (Permit Number: SW010250) To whom it may concern: The proposed 5 bedroom house is to be served by a private well and septic system, two test holes were originally excavated on the property and a system proposal and a permit were issued. Since then, the property owner decided that he would like the septic system placed in a different area, consequently, another test hole was dug on the northeast end of the property. We are proposing that the septic system will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole (#A-01). A 2,000 gallon S.T.E.P. tank and a dual pressurized deep trench type drainfield will be installed. Comments regarding the revised design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached log which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an application rate of 0.6 gallons/day/ft2 should be used. e TRENCH DESIGN: a. Percolation Rate: 17.1 minutes/inch b. Allowable Application Rate: 0.6 gallons/day/ft2 c. Number of Bedrooms: 5 d. Design Flow: 750 gallons per day e. Minimum Absorption Area: 1250 ft2 f. Total Depth: 9 feet (max.) g. TOPOGRAPHY: The average topography of the proposed septic area is 20 percent slope running from approximately east to west. In short, there are no slope concerns. 5. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS: The seven page specifications that was submitted for the originally permitted design will apply for the revised design also.
