A proposed well site plan is attached for reference. Proposed property well to: a. Existing Community sewer Manhole: 81'to center of MH structure Justification: 1. Surface pollution. Site topography slopes away from the house to the west. The community sewer line and MH are both down-gradient from the proposed well casing location. Very low contamination potential from either the sewer line or the existing manhole from overflow. 2. Subsurface pollution: Adjacent Lot 13A well depth is 327 feet with a static water level of 93 feet, which equates to a pressure of 100.6 psi [(327 ft— 93 ft) x 0.43 psi/ft = 100.6 psi].The relative high pressure at this location indicates the aquifer in this area is very well-confined and unlikely to be influenced from the subject property above. 3. The existing 8"sewer main is made of PVC pipe. AWWU Field Services indicated that this PVC main has no leak history, is not subject to corrosion and still has significant life remaining. The manhole is a concrete structure. Both were installed circa 1973/74. 4. See attached site analysis calculation (15.2 points) using ADEC waiver criteria. Per ADEC waiver guidelines for values between 12 and 16, no bacteriological pollution is possible, however chemical pollution from household chemicals is considered possible but unlikely. 5. Other: Population density is relatively low in this subdivision (-5000-7500 SF per bedroom).
